Ashton Turns Two!!!

We celebrated Ashton's birthday on Sunday, May 25th with family and friends. Ashton got a new weed whip and safety glasses from Aunt Tracy who made the trip to the sunshine state to help us celebrate!!! Doesn't he look like a pro?

On his actual birthday (Monday, May 26th), we had a picnic at Fort Wilderness. Ashton got to do his very favorite things...he rode on Disney transportation - a bus and a boat!

We can't forget Carson! He turned one month old the same day Ashton turned two years. He isn't the tiny infant we brought home from the hospital just a short time ago. At his one-month check up (Tuesday, May 27th) he was 11 lbs. 8 oz. and 21 inches long. For those of you keeping track, he has almost gained 4 lbs. since birth...that's about a pound a week.

Ashton picked out this potty chair all by himself and is very proud of it. He hasn't actually made use of it yet, but practice makes perfect, right???

Who's name is it anyway?

You don't hear my voice, but the first name Ashton says is 'Brent'. He absolutely LOVES to watch himself on video. When he wants to watch a movie it has to be a home movie of himself acting a fool! If we put in anything else he throws a fit. He sits on my lap when we work on the blog site so that he can see all of the pictures of himself and talk about how cute he is.

Ashton recognizes the Target logo and when he sees the logo anywhere (on the store, on a semi, in an ad) he says "Targo". I caught him reading the Target ad and just had to get a picture.

Dad and Carson taking a snooze. At Carson's two week check up on Monday (5/12) he had already gained 2 lbs (holy buckets...a pound a week!). He is now 9 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches in length = 75th percentile for weight and 50th for height. We think he's going to be big like Ashton was as an infant.

Mom and her boys. Ashton is very helpful...he always wants to pick up Carson when he cries, or he says, "ok, ok, ok" to try to get him to calm down. He still refers to him as his baby and can say his name..."Carcus".

Photo Shoot

These are a few of the pictures taken last Sunday (Ashton 23 months, Carson 1 week). As you can tell by these pictures, this wasn't our most successful photo shoot to date.

Tony and I are convinced that Ashton has hit his 'terrible twos' about a month early as he refused to cooperate with the photographer.
We did manage to get a couple of good shots and of course spent too much money with their 'package deal'.
