Chef Ashton

Ashton got a new chef's coat and hat from Aunt Tracy. He spent about 45 minutes in the kitchen with the ladies today helping us cook. He takes his job very seriously.

Christmas Day 2009
Carson's Christmas morning breakfast...a huge Chrristmas tree shaped donut with green frosting.

Ashton ready to take care of the yard with Carson's leaf blower and goggles.

Chef Ashton!

Ashton's new drum set...the best kind...it can be rolled up and tucked away when the noise becomes too much!

So proud of his new toy box!

Ashton's New Toy Box

Christmas Eve 2009

Ashton got a new toy box custom made by uncle Shane with all of his favorite Disney characters. Carson loves it as much as Ashton does! Hint, hint...

Turkey Napkin Rings

November 21, 2009
Ashton and I made turkey napkin rings for our Thanksgiving dinner.

This one looks like he got into the margaritas a little too early!

Carson...Such a Busy Body

Just Carson wearing Tony's hat and washing the cars...couldn't ya just squeeze him??

Boys!

November 19, 2009

I guess this is what life is like as the mother of two boys!

Shake Your Booty!

November 16, 2009

Carson loves to dance and as you can see, can shake his booty with the best of 'em!

The Boys Washing the Cars

November 15, 2009

Here are the boys helping dad wash the cars. It was probably 75 degrees that day, so for Floridians that can be a little chilly when you're soaking wet.

Monday, November 2, 2009

Now that's a lot of candy! This was our stash from our evening at the Not-So-Scary Party!

Here is Carson at his Halloween party at school (he's at the head of the table).

We met the characters from UP. Carson just couldn't get enough of Doug's tongue.

Here are the rest of the characters...Russell, Doug and Carl.

The boys getting to see Mickey Mouse!

Tracy and Jolene Visit

Jolene and Tracy's Visit
October 24th - November 1st
Aunt Tracy came armed with craft projects for the boys. Here is Jolene helping Carson with his.

Tracy helping Ashton with his project.

Here they are proudly displaying their finished products...turkey hats!

The boys and Tracy at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.
Jolene and the boys meeting Timone.

Happy Halloween!

October 28, 2009
We had to travel to more than one 'pumpkin patch' to find one that had any pumkins left. Tracy and Jolene thought this place was pretty funny compared to the pumpkin patches in WI/MN. These pumpkins were found at Kim's Cabbage Patch on highway 50 in Clermont.

Halloween - Saturday, October 31, 2009
Here we are carving pumpkins. I cut eyes, noses and mouths out of paper and let Ashton create the faces for the pumpkins.

Here is Ashton inspecting his work.

Our little Captain Hook

Carson absolutely loves Mickey Mouse! This costume was absolutely perfect for him. He was so proud of himself. He walked around saying 'rrraaarrrr'...apparently that is the noise Mickey makes????

We Did It!!!

Here is Tracy just after finishing the race with the Tower of Terror in the background!

Here I am a sweaty mess!

Our medal!

Post-race goodies...a banana, muffin, nuts and an extra large bottle of water. And Tracy calling everyone to tell them we actually finished! We had a blast!

The Final Stretch

This was the final mile. Running from the backstage area back into the park by Rosie's outdoor foods by the Tower of Terror. It was motivating to hear people cheering us on!

Mile 2!

October 24, 2009

The first mile of the 5K was in the parking lot outside of the Studios. The rest of the race was 'wun' (walking and running according to Tracy and myself) in the park. In this video we are just entering the park...yay!

Our First 5K!

Tracy and I competed in Disney's Hollywood Studios Tower of Terror 5K. Here we are pre-race...

Tracy signing the Tower of Terror Hotel Register

Tracy in the chute at the start line. We were told to stand in the appropriate running time, as designated by signs, for our pace. We should have been in the 'walkers' group, but ended up in the '7 minute mile or less' group because the crowd kept moving up as it got closer to race time. Oh well...we didn't get trampled!

The sea of runners behind us. We were in front because we running the 5K. The 13K runners started 15 minutes after us, so they are in this picture too.

Lawn Mowing Can Make a Guy Tired

Ashton has done this on more than one occasion. He falls asleep while doing the lawn work. It works out well, however, because then Carson gets his turn!

Carson Cutting a Rug

September 25, 2009

Another video of Carson dancing at the Magic Kingdom.

Dance Party at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

September 25, 2009

Mickey's Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. We had a blast and Ashton just couldn't get enough candy. No time to ride any of the attractions when there is candy to get! This is the first year he really understood what trick-or-treating was all about.

Catching Up On Email

This Is The Way We Brush Our Teeth

A Boat Built for Two (or maybe just one)

Tony and Ashton rented a little water sprite (or whatever they're called now) at Fort Wilderness.

Haircut - Before and After

September 2009
Pre-haircut...waiting patiently at the barber shop on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.

Post haircut...pixie dust and all! He wouldn't go on any rides the rest of the day because he didn't want the pixie dust to fall out. I'm still finding pieces of glitter all around the house.

Dancin' Machine

Unfortunately this thing doesn't have volume control and it plays over and over and over again. We hear it in our nightmares, but it sure has brought a lot of joy to our little rugrats.

Boys Will Be Boys

This is the reason our window treatments look like they do. :)

Taco Night

August 28, 2009

The boys and I made tacos for dinner. Ashton loves them and Carson is getting pretty good at eating with a spoon.

The Jeep and The Wagon

August 2009

I think this may have been Tony's way of getting out of having to pull the wagon.

The Beach is That Way!

August 2009

Our neighbor, Cathy, taught Ashton how to attract the ladies with his big muscles. You can't hear him very well, but he's saying 'the beach is that way'.

Lawn Work

July 2009

Ashton loves to help dad do the lawn work. I can't imagine why Tony's body aches by days end. Not to mention...this is July in Florida. It's only about 93 degrees with 100% humidity!

More Pictures from May 2009

Our very own 'Handy Manny'.

The boys playing at Typhoon Lagoon.

Typhoon Lagoon

May 2009

The boys and I spent an afternoon at Typhoon Lagoon with my girlfriend Tami and her daughter, Jennifer. The boys loved playing in the water, but Ashton's favorite was the mini lazy river.

Just the Beginning

This was how it all started. This video was taken mid-May during a baby shower we hosted at our house. You can hear the 'audience' in the background. He's quite the little entertainer. He never really pulled himself up on furniture, instead he just stood from a sitting position. It was about a month later that he began walking.

Birthday Boys

May 2009

We ended up being in Wisconsin in early May, so we celebrated Carson's 1st and Ashton's 3rd birthdays with our family. They are 23 months apart to the day, so we celebrated this birthday together.

Ashton's New Car

May 2009

Ashton got a new car for his birthday from Aunt Tracy/Uncle Leif and Uncle Shane/Aunt Dia and cousin Breck. It is still in Wisconsin, but will probably make its way to Florida this winter. Hint, hint Grandma and Grandpa Sparby.

The Farm

May 2009
While home for Grandma's funeral, my cousin Angie invited us to visit the farm. It was so great to see cattle in the barn again.

Ashton and Caron taking the tractor for a spin. This tractor has seen many miles!

Ashton and Chase exiting the barn.

Does this make you nervous?

Just a handful of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Imagination Movers

April 2009

Ashton loves a show on Playhouse Disney called 'Imagination Movers'. Here he is playing the theme song from the show.

Wisconsin

April 29, 2009

I flew solo with the boys (Tony joined us the following day) to Wisconsin to see family. Luckily we have good little travelers. This trip was uneventful. I couldn't say the same when I flew alone with them the following month. Oh well...memories! Here is Carson chillin' with his cracker in the window seat.

Ashton was a good big brother and gave up the window seat in exchange for a movie.

Ashton pulled his very own suitcase through the airport and on/off the plane. Such a big boy. He was still attached to his nuk at this time, but we 'mailed them to babies' the day after his 3rd birthday and hasn't asked for it since.

A huge cookie courtsey of grandpa!
Carson attempting to eat his cookie.

Hunting for Easter Eggs

Just found some pictures/videos that Tony had loaded on to his computer. So, these are a little out of order, but here they are.

August 2009

Good morning bedhead!

The boys love to take the cushions off of the furniture. This way Carson can actually crawl up onto the couch and Ashton can build forts/houses. On today's 'to do' list...clean the leather furniture (again!).

We're all about Disney!

Carson in his Mickey Mouse Crocs.

Ashton in his Spanish 'Please stand clear of the doors...' t-shirt. The monorails are his favorite ride at Walt Disney World!
The Magic Kingdom...Carson walks around like he owns the place!

Popcorn on Main Street. You can see that Ashton isn't very generous when it comes to sharing. Just one piece at a time!

Ashton's favorite attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios...the American Idol Experience.
